From posts to roof
Every pergola goes together the same careful way. These are our own jobs around Coffs.
1Posts and beams go in
Set solid and fixed level, so everything above sits true.
2Rafters go on
Hand-pitched and cut on site, with the rafters left exposed for that classic look.
3A roof, if you want one
Roof sheets, or Versiclad or SIP insulated panels that keep the heat down and give you a clean ceiling.
4Wired, finished, ready to enjoy
Lights, fans and power points go in with a licensed electrician we organise. Then we clean up and it’s yours.

Common questions
How much does a pergola cost?
It depends on the size, the timber, the height and whether you want a roof. We measure up and give you a clear written quote. Obligation free.
Open or roofed?
An open pergola with exposed rafters gives you filtered shade. A roof keeps the rain off too. Insulated panels (Versiclad or SIP) also keep the heat down and give you a finished ceiling, with nothing to line later. We talk you through all three when we measure up.
Can you add lights, fans and power?
Yes. We plan the wiring in from the start, so it runs hidden in the frame or the roof panels. A licensed electrician we organise does the electrical work. One job, done once.
Do I need council approval?
Not always. In NSW, many small pergolas can be built without approval. It depends on the size, the height and how close it sits to the boundary. We tell you where you stand when we measure up.
Is my pergola covered by a warranty?
Yes. NSW law gives home building work a 6-year warranty on major defects, like structural problems, and 2 years on other defects. On jobs over $20,000 we also take out HBCF home warranty insurance through icare. It protects you if we can’t finish the job or fix a defect, for example if we go out of business.
